Step-by-step explanation:

Precipitation is any liquid or frozen water that forms in the atmosphere and falls back to the Earth. It comes in many forms, like rain, sleet, and snow. ... Precipitation forms in the clouds when water vapor condenses into bigger and bigger droplets of water. When the drops are heavy enough, they fall to the Earth.

\huge\mathcal\color{teal} Answer :-

Precipitation can be understood in two references:

  • When air becomes saturated with water vapour, then water condenses from gaseous state, to liquid state, and falls down to Earth in the form of drizzle, rain, hail, snow (water solidifies to ice), the process is known as precipitation.

  • When during a chemical reaction, a solid product is formed in the solution, which can be separated from the solution by filtration, then the solid product is known as precipitate and the process is known as precipitation.

Hope it helps !
