This will react with more of sodium chloride to form sparingly soluble sodium hydrogen carbonate and ammonium chloride. Nacl+H2O + Co2+ NH3 give out NaHco3+NH4cl.

sodium hydrogen carbonate is separated by filtration. It is then washed

with cold water and dried in air.
