Double fertilization is a complexfertilization mechanism of floweringplants (angiosperms). This processinvolves the joining of a female gametophyte (megagametophyte, also called the embryo sac) with two male gametes (sperm).

After the pollen grain lands on stigma of flower, two sperms are released.
The primary haploid sperm fuses with the haploid ova.
The secondary sperm fuses with diploid female nucleus.Thus process is called TRIPLE FUSION.
Both these processes are collectively called Double fertilisation.
