Tooth decay happens when the pH of mouth goes under 5. I'm this the teeth starts decaying and cavities may happen.

this an happen because of improper cleaning of mouth after having food . the bacteria present on our teeth release acids which make our mouth acidic

To prevent it --

1) brushing teeth after lunch and dinner as toothpastes are basic in nature and change the medium of the mouth to basic medium.

2) using gargles to maintain teeth clean.
