keerthich: because in photorespiration photosynthesis and respiration takes place at same time it is harm ful to photo synthesis because in photosynthesis plant requires co2 but inrespiration co2 is released out by plant if this takes place at same time then the availability of co2 decreases and hence it effects photosynthesis
