QUANTAM NUMBER=these are the no under which carry the information about the ELECTRONS.

There are FOUR TYPES of quantam number

PRINCPLE QUANTAM NUMBER (n)

* it tell about the distance of the electron from the nucleus

* it tells the speed of the electron

* and it also tells about the speed of the electron

ANGULAR MOMENTUM NUMBER (L)

* tell about the angular momentum of electron

* tell about the no of orbital

MAGNETIC QUANTAM NUMBER(m)

* tells about the no of orbitals

SPIN QUANTAM NUMBER

*tell about the spin of the elctron upward spin(+) or downward spin (-)

Answer-

A quantum number is a value that is used when describing the energy levels available to atoms and molecules. An electron in an atom or ion has four quantum numbers to describe its state and yield solutions to the Schrödinger wave equation for the hydrogen atom. ... n - principal quantum number: describes the energy level.
