Explain reaction of oxygen with metals and non-metals?

OXYGEN AND METALS REACTION :-

OXYGEN + METAL → METAL OXIDE

ex- rusting of iron is an example of Oxygen and metal reaction.

OXYGEN AND NON METAL REACTION :-

OXYGEN + NON - METAL → NON METALLIC OXIDE

ex- carbon and sulfur with oxygen are examples of non-metals reacting with oxygen.
