The forest are depleting day by day of above reasons:
- The beginning and the expansion of railways during this period led to the destruction of huge chunks of forests.
- clearing of forest land for the purpose of cultivation has also led to the depletion of forest cover in the country.
- Mining, grazing, development projects have contributed to the loss of forests. ...
- Expansion of railway, agriculture, commercial and scientific forestry and mining activities have caused greatest damage.
- After independence people start thinking that this is mine and because of this they start covering the land as much as possible.
