☜☆☞ A reflex arc starts from the sensory neuron which is affected by the stimulus, and ends with the last neuron that synapses with the affector; including all the neurons in between.

Tendon tap: The reflex arc consists of the spindle afferent and motoneuron as efferent—just a two neuron arc.

Flexor reflex: It consists of the nociceptor, plus 1–3 interneurons, the last interneuron excites flexor motoneurons. Reflex arc consists of the nociceptor, plus a sequence of 2–3 interneurons, followed by flexor motoneurons.
