Reflection is when light bounces off an object. If the surface is smooth and shiny, like glass, water or polished metal, the light will reflect at the same angle as it hit the surface. This is called specular reflection

The phenomenon of bouncing back of light through a plane mirror surface is known as Reflection.

Example :- when light rays fall on a plane mirror (incident ray) then you see a one ray of light bounce back with same angle that is known as reflected ray and the phenomenon is called reflection.
