Representative Democracy is the mostcommon form of democracy.allows us to elect representatives, who have knowledge and judgment specialized to a definite field.Representatives and parties are also able to arbitrate between the different pressure groups and sections of society.The helplessness of minorities disappears in a representative democracy, as their needs and demands also receive due consideration.Representative democracy can make better sense of demands of the citizens and convert them into practical plan.Direct democracy may work very well among a small group of people, but the larger the group the more difficult it is to run effectively. Representative democracy eliminates this difficulty byoperating on a much smaller scale the majority of the time.
