The earth motion around its orbit is called revolution. It takes 365 ¼ days
to revolve around the sun. Because of the motion of revolution seasons
are experienced on earth. For example 21 st June in northern hemisphere experiences the longest day and the shortest night and this period is known as summer season in northern hemisphere. Similarly on 22 nd December experiences the longer days and shorter nights in northern hemisphere and this period is considered as winter season.
