one of the main rule is that a ray has one end point so it has to look like a half line segment and half line and it shouldnt extend in both the directions but one.

1) as object moves toward the focal point:
image gets biggerimage gets further away on the other side of the lensimage is always real and inverted2) at focal point, no image
3) if object between focal point and lens --
image is always bigger than objectBUT as the object moves closer to the lens, the image gets smallerimage is always virtual and uprightdiverging lens
