The consumption of water is different in both areas.....  1). In rural areas....     The people use water so wisely that their daily consumption of water is about only 3-4 buckets . They understand the value of water and therefore the use is definite in rural areas. There are also rivers and ponds which fulfils the needs of rural people.  2). In urban areas....      Most people are rich or upper middle class . So they use water indiscriminately and there is more wastage of water as compared with rural areas. But,some people in urban areas also save water and are wise , as they understand the values of the resources like water.  As a general view we can say the above answer.
