Satellite

" A satellite is a solid heavenly body that revolves around a plant ". There are more than 60 satellite in our solar system. Except Mercury and Venus all the other planets have their own satellites. The moon is a satellite of than earth which revolves around the earth. Like planets the satellites too have no light of their own. They just reflect the light received from the Sun.

Now-a-days man made satellites have been released in space for the following purpose :-

(i) To get information about the solar system.

(ii) Communication.

(iii) Weather monitoring and forecasting.
