Satyagraha is the idea of nonviolent resistance (fighting with peace) started by Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (also known as "Mahatma" Gandhi). Gandhi used satyagraha in the Indian independence movement and also during his earlier struggle in South Africa. Satyagrahahelped shape Nelson Mandela's struggle in South Africa under apartheid, Martin Luther King, Jr.'s campaigns during the civil rights movement in the United States, and many other similar movements. Someone who does satyagraha is a satyagrahi.

hey here is ur answer

The idea of satyagraha emphasized the power of truth and non violence . gandhiji felt that if the struggle was against injustice, there is no need for physical force to fight the oppressor. he felt that without being violent, the oppressor should be made to see the truth and the truth always wins.

I hope this helps you
