The physical quantities which are specified with the magnitude or size alone are called Scalar quantities. For ex. Length, speed, work, mass, destiny, etc.

Vector quantities reffered to the physical quantities characterized by the presence of both magnitude as well as direction. For ex. Displacement, force, torque,. etc.
