Land breeze: Land breeze blows during the night from land to sea and the land becomes cooler faster than the sea. The air above the sea becomes less dense (i.e. warmer) and rises. The cooler air from the land moves in to take its place.
During the daytime, the air above the land gets heated faster than water. Hot air above land rises creating a low pressure area and air from the sea moves into this area. Thus, movement of air takes place from the sea side to the land side. This is called sea breeze.
