Seasonal hunger means when the harvesting period is delayed or the cycle of food growing is effected. For example in rural areas when the seed is sowed and it takes 3 to 4 months for the crops to grow so the time which is in between is known as the seasonal hunger.
And if we talk about the urban areas the season hunger is when there is rain there is no or less work for the labors who are paid on the daily wage basis.

Seasonal Hunger :-

Seasonal hunger is a common concern for subsistence farmers in developing countries. Agricultural income is uncertain, and farmers receive it only at the harvest season. Farmers' previous year's harvest stocks gradually dwindle, and some farmers run out of their food before the next harvest. Such farmers need to buy their food with cash but food prices are usually high right before the harvest. Those farmers who run out of food must buy their food when the prices are high, but cannot buy enough food. This is called seasonal hunger. This is prevalent in rural areas because of the seasonal nature of agricultural activities and in urban areas because of the casual labour. This pattern of hunger persists year after year.

Impacts of Seasonal Hunger :-

With seasonal work, comes seasonal income. This forces families to ration their income for the entire year and make the stretch throughout the off season. Due to the lack of stable income and the pressure of hunger on young families, kids usually abandon their academic careers at the age of 12 years old to pursue odd jobs and create income to help support the family.
