in india, there is an equal treatment of all religions by the state. With the 42nd Amendment of the Constitution of India enacted in 1976, the Preamble to the Constitution asserted that India is a secular nation.

India is a largest secular country in world . In India all religions are treated equally . Each and every citizen of India has the right to choose his/her religion freely. No one is bound to follow any religion.
