Sedimentation- The process of particles settling to the bottom of a body of water is called sedimentation.  Layers of sediment in rocks from past sedimentation show the action of currents, reveal fossils, and give evidence of human activity.

Decantation- Decantation is a process for the separation of mixtures of immiscible liquids or of a liquid and a solid mixture such as a suspension. a common example is decantation of oil and vinegar.

Filteration- The process in which solid particles in a liquid or gaseous fluid are removed by the use of a filter . for example- we filter the hot tea using a mesh filter.
