There are 4 types of tenses Present,Past ,Future,Perfect the 3 basic tenses are Past Present,Future .

Now what to see in the 3 basic form of tenses is that:

Present= this tens shows you what is happening currently.

EXAMPLE: Pranav is studying now so this tens is present tens as the sentence is showing the particular thing happening now.

Past= this tens shows you what had allredy happened before.

EXAMPLE: Sakshi was eating mangoes this afternoon after lunch, so this sentence is telling you that sakshi had allredy eaten the mangoes in the afternoon so past tens

Future: this tens shows you what will be happening later.

EXAMPLE: Lalita will get a toy car later, so now this sentence is telling you that in the later part in the future later Lalita will get a toy car so this tens will be future tens.

  • Tense is a thing which shows the time of the verb

There are 3 types of tense:

  • Past tense
  • Present tense
  • Future tense

Now we will study about them:

  • The past tense refers to events that have happened in the past. The past tense is a verb tense used for a past activity or a past state of being. For example: I jumped in the lake. (This is a past activity.)

 \large \rm \green { Present\:Tense }

  • The present tense is a grammatical tense whose principal function is to locate a situation or event in the present time. The present tense is used for actions which are happening now. Examples of verbs in present tense are sing, dance, eat and drink.

 \large \rm \pink{ Future\:Tense }

  • The future continuous tense is used when an action is promised/thought to be going on at a specific time/context in the future. Example: I shall be sleeping at around 6.00 AM tomorrow. They will be playing at this time tomorrow.
