in human being there are 22 pair of autosomes and single pair of sex chromosome .autosomes are similar in both males and females but sex chromosomes are different in males and females .males contain two types of sex chromosome that is X and y while female contain X chromosome .during gamete formation male produced two types of gamete having 22 + X and 22 + y chromosome female produce only one type of gamete 22 + X and 22 + x if the male gamete having 22 + X fertilise with the female lead to the formation of zygote with 44 + xx chromosome that is girl child.if the male gamete having 22 + y fertilize the female gamete lead to the formation of zygote with 44 + xy chromosome resulting in boy child.
