south- north over west (snow)
when current flows South to north then needle reflects over west.

Snow rule states that if the current is flowing in the electric circuit from the south to the north and a magnetic compass is kept, then the compass needle in the direction of wind, on the operating wire.

So,S from South, N from North, O from over, W from West- SNOW rule.
