it is true that social divisions does not always lead to disaster..
    this can be explained with the help of the 3 determinants-
1) individual perception- this is how you consider or perceive your identities .if you see your identity in singular terms accommodation is difficult. on the other hand if you consider yourselves as a person of different identities than it leads to harmony. for example people in Belgium think that they are as much as Belgians as they are Dutch, French or German.
2)I depends on how political leaders raise the demands of any community. if one community demands for rights that are at the cost of other communities then it impossible to accommodate such divisions within a single country.
3)the actions of the government plays a major role. how the government tries to meet the demands of different groups. if it considers the demand of any one community without catering to the needs of another community then this will of course lead to disintegration of the country.
