Explain some reason for the depletion of forest resources in india

1)Mining,grazing,development projects have contributed to the loss of forests.
2)Forests provide us with wood,barks,leaves,rubber hence leading to depletion of the forest by human being.
3)Expansion of railway,agriculture,commercial and scientific forestry and mining activities have caused greatest damage.
4)Agricultural expansion continues to be one of the major causes of depletion of forests resources.
5)Since 1951,lots of forests were cleaned for river valley project i.e Namada valley project
Here are some reasons for which forests are getting depleted in India :
1) The forest resources in India are over exploited .
2)Illegally also forest resources are exploited by many people
3) Deforestation: cutting down of trees in a huge number can be seen in India
4) No steps are taken for conservation of many rare species of plants and animals
5)many forests and wildlife areas can be transformed into reserves and tourists destinations , but it has not been done
