✳️ Some organisms, like some types of fungi , algae, mosses and Ferns, reproduce by forming Spores.


✳️ Some bacteria also produce spores that serve as a resting , or dormant , stage for the bacterial cells to survive unfavourable conditions .


✳️ Spores are tiny cells, which may be motile (capable of movement) or nonmotile .


✳️ They may be surrounded by a thick wall that protects them against unfavourable conditions .


✳️ As they are light, they can float in air or water and get carried to different places .


✳️ Those that manage to reach places where conditions are suitable for growth develop into new individuals .


✳️Suitable conditions include the right amount of moisture, and the availability of food and warmth .
