Here is the solution :

Things we need to keep in mind :

(1) Speed = (Distance)/(Time)
(2) Average speed = (Total Distance) / (Total time)

According to the Question :

He rode by the car about 2hr 30 min with AVG speed of 100 km/hr,

30 min = 1/2 hr,
=> 2hr 30 min = 2 1/2 hr,
=> In car he spent 5/2 hr = 2.5 hr,

Now distance travelled by Car = Speed*Time,

=> 100*2.5 (Km/hr * hr) = 250 Km,

So he travelled 250 km by car,

He waited 30 mins for auto,
And then reached Adilabad by 1pm,

Let's find time taken by Auto,

The journey started at 8'O Clock in morning and ended at 1'O clock in afternoon,

Total time taken = 5 hrs,

Time taken by car = 2.5 hrs,

Waiting time = 0.5 hrs,

Time taken by Auto = 5-2.5-0.5 hrs[I hope you get it]

=> Time taken by Auto = 2hrs,

Speed of Auto = 50km/hr,

Distance travelled by auto = 50*2 Km/hr*hr = 100 Km,

Total distance travelled = 250 km + 100 km = 350 km,

Therefore : Distance between Hyderabad and Adilabad is 350 km, If we assume he get into auto at the same spot her got his car damaged !.

Conclusion : 350 km is the answer !.

Hope you understand, Have a Great day !.
Thanking you, Bunti 360 !.
