Given :-

Two fractions i.e -13/7 and 39/-21

To Find :-

Are they equivalent fractions or not ?

Solution :-

Let , us starts with 1st Fraction i.e -13/7

-13/7 -----( i )

Now , The other Fraction i.e 39/-21

 \frac{39}{ - 21}

Now , We will write both numerator and denominator as product of primes .

 \frac{3 \times 13}{3 \times  - 7}

Cancelling 3 from both numerator and denominator ,

 \frac{13}{ - 7}

We can also write the minus sign at numerator then we get ,

-13/7 -----( ii )

By , ( i ) and ( ii ) , the given fractions are equivalent fractions.

Hence , Proved !
