Step-by-step explanation:

x+y/x + x+y/y

= (x+y)y + (x+y)x / xy

= xy + y² + x² + xy / xy

= x² + y² + 2xy / xy²

For example take x = 2 ; y = 3

2 + 3 / 2 + 2 + 3 / 3

= (2+3)3 + (2+3)2 / 2*3

= 6 + 9 + 4 + 6 / 6

= 25 / 6

= \frac{x + y}{x} + \frac{x + y}{y} \\ \\ = \frac{y(x + y) + x(x + y)}{xy} \\ \\ = \frac{xy + {y}^{2} + {x}^{2} + xy }{xy} \\ \\ = \frac{ {(x + y)}^{2} }{xy}
