Explain stokes law for viscous fluid

Stokes law deals with the motion of a body through a viscous medium. when a solid moves through a fluid the layer of the fluid immediately in contact with the body moves witn it . this cause a relative motion amongst different layers of the fluid giving rise to a viscous drag which opposes the motion of the body.
