\texbf{Cell}

→ Cell is called as the structural and functional unit of life.

* All living organisms are made up of cells. That is why cell is called as structural unit of life.

* A single cell can perform all life functions with the help of it's components. Therefore cell is called as functional unit of life.

\texbf{Structure of Cell}

→ It consists of nucleus, cytoplasm and cell membrane.

* NUCLEUS :-

It is the dense round structure present in the cell. In animal cell it is present central whereas in plant cell it is present peripheral.

* CELL MEMBRANE :-

It is also known as plasma membrane. It is an outermost covering in animal cell and second covering in plant cell.

* CYTOPLASM :-

It is a jelly like fluid that fills a cell. It is made up of water and salt mostly.
