The mordern periodic table is based on Mandleevs Periodic law .
The following laws are :-
- The properties of elements are a periodic function of thier atomic numbers.
- The atomic number of two elements can not be same but atomic mass can be same sometimes.
- Atomic number = Number of electron = Number of proton.
- The repetation of properties of element after certain regular intervals of time is periodicity property.
- The element is arranged in the increasing order of atomic number is based on Bohr's Electronic Configuration.
- The postion of isotopes are justified.
- It consist of metals , non- metals , metalloids & noble gasses.
- It consist of 118 elements .
- It is devide in 18 rows called groups & 7 cloumns called period .
- It is devided into 4 blocks s , p , d & f.
