Heya friend,

Here is the answer:

DEFINITION:

SUBLIMATION:-

The process in which the solid on heating directly becomes a gas without forming a liquid and vice versa.

EXPLANATION:

"SUBLIMATION OF AMMONIUM CHLORIDE"

Little quantity of ammonium chloride is taken in a China dish and a inverted glass fennel is kept over the China dish. The tip of the funnel is closed with cotton plug. The China dish is heated.

OBSERVATION:

On heating, the solid directly changes into gas and again settles as solid in the coolest part of the funnel.

Hope my answer helps you :)

Shobana
