Xerarch ia take place dry areas.first the rocks in dry areas are converted into soil by lichens(it secrete some acid).After some years the soil portion was occupied by small plants.after many years,the community started live in this place.after many stages of adaptative radiation and natural selection it reaches the pioneer community(stable community)and the soil portion that was occupied by the plants are make large forest.It takes 100 to 1000 years.
