basically,sustainability means to use the things in such a way that you see that the future also gets their use.everyone know the fact that available resources are limited &human wants are unlimited.if the total available resources are completed by this generation then the future generation would in plight. the measures taken to avoid that plight in future generation would be called as sustainable development of resources..measures include:control on over extraction and usage of resources.
