The relationship between two living organisms for there mutual benefit for there nutrition is called symbiotic relationship.
Ex:-A lichen is formed from an alga (green plants) and fungi(non-green plants). The alga obtains carbon-di-oxide, and other minerals for the synthesis of photosynthesis. Where as the fungi draws in carbohydrate food organic matter and oxygen from the alga. The fungi also protects the alga from drying up.

In this type of relationship organism of different species live together where either both the organism or at least one of them get some nutritional advantage. it can be of different type such as- Parasitism, mutualism etc. Example- Tree frogs sit on the plants to get protection is an example of symbiotic relations
