The structural isomers which are spontaneously interconvertible can exist in dynamic equilibrium and differ in the position of atoms(generally hydrogen) and π bond are called Tautomers and this phenomenon is called tautomerism.

The most common form of tautomerism is keto- enol tautomerism.
