  • 1. In this about 100 male bees are present in one hive.

  • 2. 7-15 mm is the approximate length.

  • 3. In drones some glands like Salvary glands, wax Secreting glands are present.

  • 4. Exactly same as queen for the nutrition they take help from the worker bees.

  • 5. The sole duty of this type of bees is to fertilize the queen.

  • 6. Actually drones are produced from unfertilized eggs so in them they will have just 16 chromosomes.

  • 7. Stings are not present in this category.
