Glycolysis is the reaction in which 1 mol of glucose is used to make 2 moles of pyruvic acid.it is a 10 steps process and leads to formation of 10 ATP. this reaction is common for both aerobic and anaerobic respiration.this rxn occurs in the cytoplasm.its end products are used for alcohol formation, lactic acid formation, aerobic respiration

Explanation:

Glycolysis is the first step of cellular respiration.

•It takes place in cytoplasm of the cell.

•It is common for both aerobic and anaerobic respiration.

•It is the in which a molecule of glucose is oxidized into two molecules of each i.e. pyruvic acid, ATP, NADH2 and water are formed

•In this process a molecule of glucose is oxidized step by step in this process and two molecules of each i.e., pyruvic acid, ATP (adenosine triphosphate), NADH2 (Nicotinamide Adenine dinucleotide) and water are formed.
