Explain thad question a train accelerates from 36 km/h to 54/ in 10 sec
Answers
AnswEr :
Given that a train accelerates from 36 km/h to 54 km/h in 10 seconds.
We have to find acceleration of train.
What is acceleration?
Acceleration is rate of change in velocity/speed. Acceleration is given by,
Division of (difference b/w initial & final velocity/speed) and time.
Acceleration = (v - u)/t
From the given data :
Initial speed = 36 km/h
→ Initial speed = 36 × (5/18) m/s
→ Initial speed = 10 m/s
And, final speed = 54 km/h
→ Final speed = 54 × (5/18) m/s
→ Final speed = 15 m/s
Time (t) = 10 seconds.
From the first equation of motion i.e. v = u + at,
Substituting values,
→ 15 = 10 + a × 10
→ 15 = 10 + 10a
→ 15 - 10 = 10a
→ 5 = 10a
→ a = 5/10
→ a = 0.5 m/s²
∴ Acceleration of train = 0.5 m/s² (Ans.)
Given :-
- Initial velocity =36km/h=36×5/18=10m/s
- Final velocity =54km/h=54×5/18=15m/s
- Time taken =10s
To Find:-
- Acceleration (a) of train
Solution :-
By using 1st equation of motion
➦ v=u+at
➭ 15=10+a×10
➭ 15-10=a×10
➭ a = 5/10
➭ a = 0.5m/s²
∴The acceleration of train is 0.5 m/s².
Extra Information!!!!!!!
☛ The rate of change of velocity at per unit time is called acceleration .
☛ SI unit of acceleration is m/s²
☛ It is vector quantity.
