Answer:

India's strategic position in Asia has given it many advantages.

The Trans Indian Ocean route connects West European countries and also the East Asian countries.

Not only that the Deccan Plateau extends into the Indian Ocean that helps in connecting with West Asian, African, Southeast European countries.

India has established her relationship with the world not recently but since ages. Her land route contacts are much older than the maritime contacts.

Goods  flowed through various mountain passes.Ancient travelers and explorers had passed through these passages.

With the coming of Maritime routes, more heavy goods and also exchange of ideas took place.Indian ideas such as Ramayana,Mahabharata, decimal system, etc were passed to the world.

Food materials like species, clothing like chintzes, muslin, etc were exported from India to other countries in the ancient time.

Similarly, other countries exported their goods and ideas to India. The dome structure and minarets were brought by the Mughals, while the Greek architecture can be still seen today in various parts of India.

Hope This Helps You!
