All non metallic oxides are acidic in nature because they react with water to produce corresponding acids. S is also a non metal and its oxide SO2 produces sulphuric acid (H2SO4) on reaction with water. Thus, SO2 is acidic in nature.

Sulphur is actually a non-metal.

we know that oxides of non-metals are generally acidic in nature. so, here also oxides of sulphur will be acidic in nature.
