So first we know water is in liquid state at room temperature.
When we boil water to its boiling point i.e. 100°C then it converts into steam, which we say is the gaseous state of water.
And if we freeze water to a temperature below its freezing point then it freezes to form ice which the solid state of water.
So we can say that water exists in three states.
