1) Law of multiple proportions, statement that when two elements combine with each other to form more than one compound, the weights of one element that combine with a fixed weight of the other are in a ratio of small whole numbers.

2) The ratio between the volumes of the reactant gases and the gaseous products can be expressed in simple whole numbers. 2 molecules of hydrogen + 1 molecule of oxygen = 2 molecules of water.

3) It is a law stating that equal volumes of gases at the same temperature and pressure contain equal numbers of molecules.

1. if 2 elements form more than one compound between them, then the ratios of the masses of the second element which combine with a fixed mass of the first element will be ratios of small whole numbers...

2. The ratio between the volumes of the reactant gases and the gaseous products can be expressed in simple whole numbers. 2 molecules of hydrogen + 1 molecule of oxygen = 2 molecules of water. The law of combining gases was made public by Joseph Louis Gay-Lussac in 1808.

3.  law stating that equal volumes of gases at the same temperature and pressure contain equal numbers of molecules.
