Achievements of Bajirao I:

Bajirao I, renowned for his tactics in military, is considered a great example of the Palkhed Battle he had fought against his Hyderabad Nizam-ul-mulk. The Marathas beat Nizam and Bajirao was eventually named as the hero in the overwhelming victory Marathas.

He looked at expansion of Maratha kingdom from the very start. In 1723, he conquered Malwa and Gujarat. He then invaded a significant chunk of central India and even attacked Delhi. In 1728, due to his suggestion, administrative capital of Marathan Empire was eventually moved from Satara to the new town of Pune.

During a career of two decades, Bajirao conducted many military campaigns. He has been attributed to have established the subsequent Kingdoms of Gaekwads (Pilaji) of Baroda, Scindias (Ranoji Shinde) of Gwalior, and Pawars (Udaiji) of Dhar Holkars (Malharrao) of Indore, under the stretch of Maratha Empire.
