Explain the action of junction layer at the time of formation of p-n junction. Explain effect on depletion of layer when junction is reverse based.

When diode is in reverse bias condition ,charge carriers (holes and electrons) tends to move away from the pn-junction ,leaving behind immobile ions at the junction. ... This depletion region acts as high resistance to charge carriers, and very less current flows because of minority carriers.
