Explain the action of soaps in removing an oily spot from a piece of cloth​

Soap molecules contain two part hydrophilic and hydrophobic .The hydrophobic part contains hydrocarbon containing covalent bond but it's ionic part i.e hydrophilic part atraacts the oily spot and help to scratch it out in water.
