Slash and burn agriculture also known as primitive subsistence farming is used by arrivals mostly.
Although it has quite a few advantages it also has a few disadvantages. 
1). This type of farming cannot feed a lot of people. It can be used only by the people of the family.
2). The land that has been used once cannot be used again .
3). This kind of farming requires the farmer one the family to change their lands again and again.

Advantage and disadvantage of Slash and burn agriculture method:

Slash and Burn agriculture:

It is the type of farming in which the farmer after harvesting the crop of interest destroys the remaining vegetation by burning the entire farm into ashes. This way of agricultural practice is called as slash and burn agriculture.

Advantages:

• By this method the farmers can increase the soil’s fertility as the ash of burned vegetation is rich in nutrient.

• When crop is grown next time it gives more yields.

Disadvantages:

• The major disadvantage of this method is deforestation.
• Though the ashes may increases the soil fertility, it may remain fertile for only a short span of time. After which the farmer has to search a new land, uproot the trees and proceed with farming.
