The Carnatic wars were a series of military conflicts out in the middle of the eighteenth century on the Indian subcontinent .

The conflicts involved in numerous nominally independent rulers on their vessels, struggles for succession and territory, included diplomatic and military struggle between the French East India company and the British East India company.
